DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a store leader to ensure exceptional athlete experiences and maintain effective store operations. You will guide hourly teammates, oversee merchandising, and implement programs to drive customer engagement across the department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating athlete needs and providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
• Promote and lead company programs (customer loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment).
• Contribute to development of 30-60-90 day plans to support business priorities for assigned department(s).
• Help establish working plans related to staffing, hiring needs, and budgets.
• Execute plans and adjust as needed to meet plan duration and financial goals.
• Lead and coach teammates; handle opening/closing and Front End tasks.
• Communicate goals and workload to direct reports; optimize schedules for shopper demand.
• Monitor progress against plans and adjust to ensure operations and athlete support.
• Build and lead a strong team; recruit, onboard, and retain direct reports.
• Ensure training, coaching, and performance reviews are conducted.
