Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager for Old Navy operations in a store setting. The role drives profitable sales through customer and product operations, merchandising, and talent development, supporting execution of store strategy with leadership from the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.

You will coach Leads and Brand Associates to deliver a best-in-class customer experience, manage assigned areas, and ensure standard operating procedures are consistently followed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication with customers and team.
• Passionate about retail and fast-paced environments.
• Driven by metrics to meet business goals.
• Leadership through coaching and mentoring.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
• Able to use retail technology.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and move around the store.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Support strategies and processes to drive store sales and deliver results through a customer centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop highly productive Brand Associate and Expert teams.
• Own assigned area of responsibility.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties.
• Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures.
• Represent the brand and understand the competition and retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement.
• Leverage omni-channel to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
• Ensure all compliance standards are met.
