Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to lead a ~10-person team and uphold Sprouts values in daily store operations. You will drive customer satisfaction, oversee inventory and backroom, and coach department managers and receivers to meet performance goals.

The role requires strong leadership, adherence to safety and food safety standards, and the ability to manage P&L, scheduling, and training. Growth opportunities and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Proven ability to lead department operations including P&L, safety, sanitation, staffing, coaching, and performance appraisals.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail oriented with analytical and decisive skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and HR software.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have and maintain Food Safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately ten people with courtesy, respect, integrity, and care.
• Drive store leadership development to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, receiving, and backroom organization.
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, and sanitation standards and audits.
• Manage P&L aspects: labor, inventory, expenses to meet targets.
• Communicate policy changes, new initiatives, and product knowledge to teams.
• Provide constructive feedback and direction for effective collaboration.
