Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in implementing store processes, supervising staff, managing inventory, stocking and receiving, and handling paperwork. This role is designed to develop an external candidate for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in retail preferred for external candidates.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Ability to operate cash registers and generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with merchandising and staging of merchandise per store direction.
• Participate in inventory management and cycle counts.
• Support ordering to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and cashier accountability.
• Assist in opening/closing procedures and store operations.
