Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staffing, inventory, merchandising, and cash handling. This role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position and will be held for a limited period.

Responsibilities include assisting with recruiting, merchandising, inventory accuracy, in-stock targets, customer service leadership, store opening/closing, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Certain locations may prefer bilingual Spanish speakers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising by staging, stocking and pricing merchandise.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure cash handling and security procedures are followed.
