Albertsons Companies, a leader in grocery and multi‑format retail, seeks an Assistant Store Director to drive store conditions, sales performance, and a high‑caliber team. You will partner closely with the Store Director to deliver strong customer experiences and operational excellence across the store network.

The role emphasizes hands‑on leadership, fiscal discipline, food safety, and people‑first leadership in a fast‑paced environment across Southern California locations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive retail leadership experience.
• Operational leadership experience in grocery or big-box retail.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using operational and financial reporting to support decision making, labor planning, inventory management, and sales performance.
• Food Safety and Sanitation certification (or ability to obtain).
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.

Responsibilities

• Drive store conditions, sales, and team effectiveness through disciplined execution.
• Oversee staffing and labor to align with sales and budget goals.
• Ensure safe, clean store conditions and adherence to food safety standards.
• Lead end-to-end hiring, training, and associate development.
• Analyze store metrics to identify improvement opportunities and drive results.
