Job summary

Albertsons Companies is looking for an Assistant Store Director to lead store operations across Southern California locations. You will drive operational excellence, deliver strong sales results, and coach a high-performing team to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Reporting to the Store Director, you will oversee staffing, budgeting, food safety, and daily execution, ensuring consistent GOT behaviors and a culture that places people first.

Qualifications

• 35 years of progressive retail leadership experience.
• Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using operational and financial reporting to support decision making, labor planning, inventory management, and sales performance.
• Food Safety and Sanitation certification (or ability to obtain).
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Drive store conditions, sales performance, and team effectiveness through disciplined operational execution.
• Lead, coach, develop, and supervise store associates, building talent and bench strength across the store.
• Partner with the Store Director, HR, and Labor Relations on staffing, performance management, and associate relations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, sanitation, and wage and hour laws.
• Maintain pricing integrity through signing standards and collaboration with relevant departments.
• Oversee operations in the absence of the Store Director to ensure continuity.
