Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. and its Pottery Barn brand invite applicants for an Assistant Manager of Sales and Service. You will support the store management team by delivering world‑class service, serving as a role model for customers, and ensuring proper staff coverage across all areas.

You will lead by example on customer experience, coach associates, and drive toward sales goals while maintaining a positive, inclusive work environment in Fairfax.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills.
• Superior critical thinking to identify challenges and act quickly.
• Strong time management to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• 2–3 years of retail sales or management experience in a customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to create an exceptional experience for customers and exceed sales goals.
• Ensure the sales floor is adequately staffed while modeling sales and service excellence.
• Coach staff on customer service successes and challenges.
• Educate the team on product knowledge and selling skills using available training resources.
• Foster a positive environment aligned with the People-First philosophy.
• Resolve client service issues including delivery/pickup using reporting systems.
