Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. seeks an Assistant Manager of Sales and Service to lead store teams in delivering world‑class customer service in a Palo Alto location. You will model excellence, ensure staffing, and supervise operations to support sales goals and a seamless shopping experience.

You will coach associates, reinforce service principles, and use training resources to improve product knowledge and selling skills while upholding our People‑First Philosophy.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills.
• Superior critical thinking skills to identify challenges and develop action plans.
• Great time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
• 2-3 years of previous retail sales experience or management in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to create an exceptional customer experience and exceed sales goals.
• Ensure adequate staffing on the sales floor while role modelling sales and service excellence.
• Coach staff on customer service principles and selling skills to hit business goals.
• Educate team on product information using Selling Essentials and training resources.
• Maintain a positive environment where associates are treated with dignity under our People-First Philosophy.
• Resolve client service issues including delivery/pick-up using client information systems.
