Job summary

Dollar General seeks an experienced store manager to oversee all store operations, staffing, and daily execution. You will lead recruiting, training, and performance management, while ensuring merchandising, inventory control, and customer service standards are met.

Responsibilities include maintaining cash controls, store security, and adherence to company policies. You will coordinate opening/closing, drive sales, and foster a safe, efficient shopping environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire, train and develop staff in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees to ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, performance evaluations, and corrective actions when needed.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and store presentation.
• Ensure cash handling, register accuracy, and security procedures are followed.
• Open and close the store daily and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
