Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to oversee all store processes, staffing, training and customer service. You will manage ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and daily operations to meet sales goals.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of cash handling, inventory control and compliance with federal and state laws. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; management exp in retail is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret store procedures, safety rules and operating instructions.
• Strong cash handling and inventory control knowledge.
• Effective communication with staff and customers; leadership and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations and address performance gaps or termination when needed.
• Set pay/advancement recommendations and communicate expectations.
• Manage daily store openings/closings and ensure security and procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory, control shrink and ensure proper cash accountability.
