Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee all store operations, leadership, and staff performance. You will recruit, train, and retain a capable team, conduct evaluations, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining cash control and security protocols.

The role requires strong inventory management, merchandising, and adherence to company policies. The manager will open/close the store and drive daily store performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, training and counseling staff.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and security practices.
• Ability to lead a team and drive store performance.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and retain qualified employees according to policies.
• Provide performance evaluations and coaching as needed.
• Manage staffing to ensure proper store coverage.
• Oversee stock, pricing, merchandising and presentation.
• Ensure cashier accountability and store security.
