Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an experienced store leadership professional to manage daily operations and drive store performance. You will oversee staffing, training, merchandising, and customer service while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.

The role requires hands-on supervision, developing staff, managing inventory, and safeguarding financial integrity through cash control procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to staff and manage employees in compliance with laws and policies.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and staff the store.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations and address performance gaps.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, safety expectations, and policies.
• Open and close the store at least two times weekly.
• Order, stock, and present merchandise per company standards.
