Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store leadership professional to manage daily store operations, staffing, training, and policy compliance. You will oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, and safety while driving performance and customer service.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, evaluating, and enforcing company policies; you will open/close the store, monitor sales and inventory, and ensure financial integrity with proper cash controls.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting diagrams, safety rules, and manuals.
• Mathematical calculations including percentages and totals.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit control procedures.
• Ability to run IBM cash register reports.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and discipline processes incl. legal compliance.
• Familiarity with cash, facility and safety control policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain employees and staff the store.
• Provide training, evaluate performance, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Advise on pay and advancement; enforce safety and policies.
• Communicate performance expectations and coordinate meetings.
• Open and close the store consistently; ensure staffing.
