Job summary

Staples is hiring an Assistant Manager to drive sales, services and customer engagement in-store, guiding a team to deliver total solutions and a superior customer experience. The role emphasizes coaching, merchandising oversight and execution of store operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services industry.
Experience coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment.
Ability to engage with customers and understand their needs.
Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptability to changing priorities.
Ability to review results vs goals and develop growth plans.
Ability to handle conflict in a cooperative manner.

Responsibilities

Develop a high-performing team focused on providing an exceptional store experience, consultative selling and total solutions to customers.
Lead coaching, training and role playing to deliver results.
Achieve sales and service goals, margin and store operations execution.
Provide direction for merchandising opportunities and daily store operations with the GM.
Champion company initiatives and adapt to changes in responsibilities.
