Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Store Manager for a full-time retail location. You will lead day-to-day store operations, oversee staff, manage inventory and donations, and ensure excellent customer and donor service.

The role includes coordinating with ARC beneficiaries and implementing work therapy assignments as needed. Qualified candidates have a minimum High School Diploma and at least 3 years of retail supervisory experience, with strong MS Office skills and a valid

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisor/management experience in a retail environment (thrift experience preferred).
• Basic understanding of office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid Driver’s license, successfully pass a MVR check (required), proof of insurance and access to a motor vehicle.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs the day-to-day operations of assigned store location, including opening/closing, POS operations, inventory management and donations.
• Hire, train and direct the store team and provide performance coaching to all store employees.
• Schedule employees to ensure appropriate coverage and maintain payroll records.
• Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction and maintain community relations.
• Oversee Back Room Processing and inventory to meet daily processing goals.
• Supervise and support Beneficiaries when Work Therapy Assignments are in place and ensure security of store assets.
