Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking an Assistant Manager for our College Outlet Store in San Diego. You will support the Store Manager with daily operations, drive customer service excellence, and ensure donor engagement and program support.

This full-time role requires strong retail leadership, attendance for team development, and adherence to ARC policies while promoting our Do The Most Good mission in the local community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years Retail Management/Supervisory experience.
• Basic MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver's license with insurable vehicle and pass MVR check.
• Background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager on day-to-day store operations.
• Open/close procedures, POS operations, inventory control.
• Monitor KPIs to drive sales and profitability.
• Develop Beneficiaries through collaboration with program staff.
• Coordinate safety and compliance per ARC policy.
