Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking an Assistant Manager in the Retail department. This full-time role reports to the Store Manager and will supervise day-to-day store operations, manage staff, and ensure excellent customer and donor service in a busy retail environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of retail management experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role with the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations.
• In the Store Manager's absence, assume responsibility for operations and staff.
• Monitor key performance indicators to drive sales and profitability as budgeted.
• Schedule staff and maintain payroll records with accuracy.
• Assist in hiring, training and coaching store employees.
• Maintain high levels of customer and donor satisfaction.
• Support Back Room Processing to meet daily processing goals.
• Protect store currency, inventory and property; ensure building security.
