Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory, merchandising, and customer service. You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with safety and cash control policies, and drive sales while maintaining high standards of store condition.

This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and knowledge of retail processes. Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred in some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions and counseling.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure store is properly staffed and opened/closed each day.
• Evaluate operating statements for sales, profitability, and turn; review ordering plans.
• Facilitate staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Ensure merchandise presentation with pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory and cash/asset controls.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Ensure needed tools are available to perform tasks.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; complete paperwork on deadlines.
