Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations in our Illinois stores. You will ensure proper staffing, train employees, manage inventory, and uphold cash controls while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and adherence to company policies, with a focus on building a safe, efficient, and profitable store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to lead a team and ensure compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to labor laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps and counsel when needed.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings to ensure safety and policies.
• Oversee ordering, stocking, presentation, stocking and inventory control to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and maintain a clean, safe store environment.
