Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in Illinois to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service. You will manage staffing, training, cashier operations, inventory, and loss prevention while upholding company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities include recruitment, coaching, schedule adherence, and maintaining a secure, well-organized store environment. Prior retail management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Strong leadership and supervision skills, with ability to coach and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training, perform evaluations, and address performance gaps.
• Ensure store is opened/closed on schedule and maintain cash control.
• Monitor sales, inventory, and expenses to identify trends and opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant store environment.
