The Container Store Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead the store and shape the culture, guiding teams to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business goals.

You will oversee a management group including a Visual Sales Manager, a Training Manager, and an Operations Manager, partnering with leaders to engage staff and customers. Responsibilities include building strong teams, driving engagement, and effective communication, while managing payroll and labor planning to optimize

Qualifications

• Ten years of leadership and coaching experience in retail or a related field.
• Proven ability to develop and nurture team talent to achieve goals.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with customers and staff.
• Solid time management and organizational capabilities to lead a store.
• Customer-centric mindset with a focus on service excellence.
• Adaptability in a dynamic retail environment and use of technology to enhance selling.

Responsibilities

• Building effective teams and developing talent.
• Driving engagement by collaborating with the Area Director and Store Managers.
• Communicating effectively with staff, Area and Regional Directors, and customers.
• Instilling trust and ensuring accountability.
• Leading by example on the sales floor.
• Improving payroll and sales results, and managing payroll/labor plans.
• Overseeing payroll expenses and labor plans to optimize store performance.
