Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, manuals.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions to generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations and counselor when needed.
• Manage staffing levels and open/close the store as required.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Oversee stock planning, ordering and inventory controls weekly.
• Ensure proper product presentation, pricing and signage.
• Maintain cash controls and secure store assets.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership and a clean store.
