Job summary

Carter's Inc. is seeking a Store Manager in Baton Rouge to lead a team that welcomes families with brand expertise and outstanding service. You will coach your team to deliver product knowledge, manage store operations, and drive sales while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment for customers and associates alike.

You’ll partner with leaders to develop talent, optimize schedules, and uphold Carter’s standards across merchandising, payroll, and KPI-driven results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of retail or related management experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays with at least two closing shifts weekly.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Build a talent pipeline through networking and team development.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment.
• Grow leaders through direction, delegation, and development.
• Lead the Leader on Duty program on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with warm greetings and assist with product styles and benefits.
• Drive customer loyalty through coaching on loyalty programs and credit.
• Execute merchandising and operations strategies, payroll, and budgets.
• Understand KPIs and drive results through data-driven actions.
• Coordinate omnichannel execution with trained teams across channels.
• Reduce loss with consistent service, education, and controls.
