Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana seeks a Sales Floor Manager to supervise the sales floor leads and associates, ensuring a smooth daily flow of donated clothing, furniture, and household goods. You will support the store manager in operating a high-volume retail operation aligned with the organization's mission.

The role requires strong leadership, customer focus, and the ability to manage staffing, cash handling, and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Leadership and mentoring experience preferred.
• Experience in leading teams in retail sales or other sales experience preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and pass MVR check.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI and other programs.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate store employees to ensure a steady flow of merchandise on the sales floor daily.
• Coach, train, and develop staff; assist in scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
• Open/close the store; balance cash registers; manage cash and deposits.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free store and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Oversee receiving, pricing, displaying, and store merchandising.
• Conduct regular store meetings and daily walkthroughs to monitor operations.
• Achieve revenue and expense budgets and support store management’s goals.
