Job summary

UDF-MyScoop Branding is hiring an Assistant Manager in Urbana, OH. Schedule is full time (37-40 hours) with first, second or third shifts. The role requires ensuring outstanding service and safety compliance while supervising staff and managing daily store operations.

Essential duties include coaching team members, handling cash and POS operations, stocking, security, and maintaining store conditions for a premium Hi Five Guest Experience. Alcohol/tobacco sales require state-legal qualification.

Qualifications

• Legal qualification to conduct sales including alcohol and tobacco per state law.
• Strong guest service orientation and ability to lead a team.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
• Good communication with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Managing other Associates: assign/monitor duties, coach the Hi Five experience, train Shift Leaders and Guests Services staff.
• Store Administration: ordering, review of weekly delivery reports, product transfers, and paperwork.
• Provide the signature Hi Five Guest Experience and maintain store readiness.
• DipSide: prepare shakes, sundaes, cups/cones, and other items.
• Operate POS and gas console; process transactions and manage payments.
• Stocking: keep shelves and coolers full; rotate stock and check dates.
• Security: monitor customers, manage cash drops, and follow security programs.
• Maintenance: keep store and parking lot clean and safe; monitor equipment temps.
• Reporting: complete time records and Customer First documents.
• Other duties as assigned; communicate effectively in English.
