Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. LA-RIVERSIDE location seeks a Store Manager to lead a team, drive a superior customer experience, and deliver sales and KPI targets. You’ll guide staff, training, and day‑to‑day operations to maintain brand promises and ensure store performance.

Responsibilities include staffing, coaching, compliance, and cross‑training in framing and production. Working hours include nights, weekends and early mornings as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail experience, including specialized knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and customer service excellence.
• 2+ years of experience directly supervising a diverse team, including performance management and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the store, including adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance to laws and requirements; hold team accountable for store conditions and results
• Deliver sales plan/profit plan and KPIs; manage the store team to achieve their role KPI’s
• Lead the execution of our customer brand promises
• Implement and lead shrink and safety programs to deliver goals
• Use company tools to set, prioritize and communicate goals and provide overall management to team members and customers
• Staff the store with qualified Team Members: Hire, train, observe and coach; manage performance and development; succession planning
• Interact respectfully; promote company vision and values; act as role model
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD)
• Maintain operational understanding of all store departments; cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
