Job summary

Boot Barn in Columbus, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in driving exceptional customer service, merchandising excellence and store performance. You will lead by example on the sales floor, coach partners, manage schedules and inventory, and help execute local community initiatives while upholding Boot Barn's values.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and/or 2 to 4 years of experience in retail store management.
• Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts to meet business needs including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Up to 15% travel to support local stores, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
• Review goals with partners, providing coaching, actionable feedback, and recognition of excellence; be present on the sales floor during peak hours.
• Implement and maintain an environment of continuous learning and assist with partner training plans to improve store performance across operations and merchandising.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to adapt to changing business needs and procedures; adjust schedules and support hiring.
• Assess and communicate localized customer needs to Store Manager.
• Plan and execute successful volume-driving events involving local community outreach.
