Job summary

Boot Barn is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Canton, Ohio. You will partner with the Store Manager to cultivate an environment aligned with Boot Barn's Mission, Vision, and Values, delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales.

This role focuses on partner development, merchandising standards, and store operations to achieve year-over-year sales growth and productivity improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
• Review goals with partners, providing coaching, actionable feedback, and recognition of excellence. Lead by example, on the sales floor during peak hours.
• Implement and maintain an environment of continuous learning and assist with partner training plans to improve store performance.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to adapt to changing business needs and procedures; adjust store schedule as needed.
• Assess and communicate localized customers’ needs to Store Manager.
• Plan and execute volume driving events involving outreach to the local community/market.
• Lead and coach associates in building customer engagement through Boot Barn Credit Card and Loyalty Programs.
• Ensure merchandise stock levels, adjacencies, and presentations meet customer needs and brand guidelines.
• Accountable for markdown compliance and timely product receipts; manage inventory shrink plans with the store team.
• Maintain knowledge across product categories and train partners in these areas.
• Complete opening and closing procedures to company standards and comply with Time and Attendance policies.
• Adhere to local, federal and state laws and company policies.
