Job summary

Carter's, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in the Chattanooga area to lead a team, welcome customers, and promote our baby and children’s apparel. You’ll support training, scheduling, and store performance while ensuring an inclusive environment for staff and shoppers.

This role focuses on coaching, merchandising excellence, and delivering a seamless omnichannel experience, with opportunities for growth and development within Carter’s family of brands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and assist with product styles, features and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Analyze the business and drive KPIs with the team.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and developing store staff.
• Plan, track, and report completion of tasks and financial results.
• Partner with Store Manager to plan merchandising standards and promotions.
• Reduce loss through customer service and operational controls.
