Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in New Jersey to direct all store operations, drive sales, and lead a team of department managers and receivers.

You will ensure compliance with safety, labeling, and quality standards while fostering exceptional customer service and strong employee development. This role requires leadership across perishable and non-perishable areas and P&L ownership in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma; a degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience; demonstrated success leading non-perishable and perishable department operations including profit and loss, safety, staffing, training, and inventory management.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and solution-focused decisiveness; proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software.

Responsibilities

• Positively shape store culture by modeling Sprouts values.
• Develop the store leadership team to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Lead a team of approximately ten people (Department Managers and Receivers).
• Motivate and develop management, embrace Sprouts leadership behaviors.
• Drive store sales and customer advocacy through effective leadership.
