Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Edgewater, NJ to direct all store operations and lead a ~10-person department-manager team. You will drive sales, enhance customer service, and maintain compliance with company standards across perishable and non-perishable areas.

Responsibilities include optimizing inventory, labor, and expenses while training leaders, executing promotions, and ensuring a safe, compliant store environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and human resources software.
• Able to lift 60 pounds and handle the physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead a store team and direct all business processes to drive sales and efficiency.
• Oversee a team of approximately ten people including Department Managers and Receivers.
• Ensure safety, labeling, health, and weights and measures compliance across departments.
• Maintain inventory control, and manage labor and expenses to meet targets.
• Communicate policy changes and train team members on new initiatives.
• Provide feedback and coaching to store leadership for performance improvements.
