Job summary

Victra, the largest Verizon authorized retailer in the United States, seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead a store team, drive sales targets, and create outstanding customer experiences. You will coach through daily interactions, manage merchandising, and own store performance when the General Manager is away.

You will hire and develop talent, lead by example on the sales floor, and translate weekly goals into daily plans.

Qualifications

• Background in customer service within the retail, restaurant, or wireless industry preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a Customer Service or leadership role.
• Management experience in a commissions-based sales environment.
• Proven track record of achieving challenging team and individual sales goals.
• Balanced multiple opposing priorities in a multifaceted environment.
• Set goals, evaluated performance, and developed a high performing team.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities

• Take part in interviewing and hiring decisions for your store — helping bring in the best talent is as much your job as developing the team you already have.
• Provide your team with training and mentoring to deliver an outstanding customer experience by handling customer flow and store traffic.
• Identify selling skill gaps, then build and implement development plans to help the team meet and exceed sales metrics and quota assignments.
• Lead personal sales performance on the floor and drive store numbers.
• Oversee store operations, staffing, financial reporting, cash handling, and compliance.
• Open and close the store and drive daily target attainment.
