Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in a fast-paced retail environment in Phoenix, AZ. You will direct all store processes, lead department managers and receivers, and drive sales while maintaining safety and quality standards.

A strong focus on customer service and team development is essential. The role requires experience with both perishable and non-perishable departments, plus proficiency in Office tools and store systems.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business management or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Proven success leading both perishable and non-perishable departments with P&L, safety, staffing, and training responsibilities.
• Strong professional communication, detail orientation, and problem solving.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and time/attendance software; HR systems experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct all store business processes and achieve positive results.
• Inspire and motivate a team to provide superior customer service.
• Oversee a team of approximately ten, including Department Managers and Receivers.
• Lead, develop, and coach the management team to drive sales and engagement.
• Maintain compliance with safety, labeling, health, and weights and measures standards.
• Manage inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets and optimize profitability.
• Address emergencies, issues, and operational changes with urgency.
• Ensure accurate pricing, signage, and product knowledge across departments.
