Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations, supervise staff, and ensure efficient execution of processes from stocking to checkout. You will drive staffing, training, and performance management to meet sales and service targets in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training employees, managing labor and cash controls, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enforcing safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret store policies and procedures.
• Ability to manage staffing, scheduling and labor costs.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit procedures.
• Ability to use store systems to generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising and pricing practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and onboarding practices including legal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations and staff to meet sales, service and safety goals.
• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training and conduct performance evaluations; address gaps as needed.
• Monitor performance, safety, and policy compliance; communicate expectations regularly.
• Open and close the store as required and ensure proper opening/closing procedures.
