Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Proven ability to recruit, train and evaluate staff; ensure policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to labor laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings to reinforce policies.
• Ensure the store is staffed and opened/closed each day.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, expenses, and inventory issues.
• Review ordering plans and inventory control; follow up on replenishment and cycle counts.
• Facilitate staging, stocking, and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, pricing and signage according to standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cashier controls; ensure security procedures are followed.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
