Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead our team in a fast-paced retail environment. You will oversee staffing, training, and daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies.

This role requires strong leadership, inventory and cash-control skills, with opportunities to drive sales, manage merchandising, and foster a safe, welcoming shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, select and retain employees in compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and retain qualified employees and staff the store.
• Train employees and conduct performance evaluations.
• Manage scheduling, staffing and opening/closing tasks.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, stock replenishment and merchandising.
• Ensure cash controls and security procedures are followed.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and maintain a safe, organized store environment.
