Meijer Market Format Stores seeks a capable leader to guide store teams across departments, delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will manage ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and displays, while sourcing local products and planning schedules to support the market’s community focus.

You will drive sales, margin, and inventory metrics, coach staff, and ensure freshness and compliance with dating policies.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service.
• 2–3 years of retail experience.
• Creative thinking abilities.
• Strong rapport-building to create repeat business.
• Ability to lift and move product.
• Experience writing and executing plans.
• Experience developing teams to improve service, presentation, sales, and margins.
• Experience in inventory control management and cycle counts.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple departments and empower teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Schedule and manage store staffing and daily operations.
• Source local products to create a farmer’s market feel and fresh displays.
• Monitor and improve key metrics: sales, margin, inventory, profit, and safety.
• Ensure freshness through rotation and dating policies and monitor competition.
• Foster community relationships and preserve neighborhood focus.
