Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Front End/Person In Charge to lead the front-end operations and deliver strong customer service. You’ll act as a primary contact for customers and, in the manager’s absence, oversee store performance to maximize profit and service quality.

When in charge at night or during peak times, you will supervise store employees and perform cashier-checker duties, ensuring efficient checkout operations and adherence to store policies.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience or related skills.
• Ability to interact with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Knowledge of all store positions.
• Desire experience as clerk or manager.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service as defined by the employer within company policy.
• Responsible for handling emergencies, customer complaints, employee or customer accidents and supervising store personnel.
• Maintains familiarity with company policies and procedures.
• Supervises the sales floor to monitor service and replenishment of products.
• Replaces stock in displays around the checkout area.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Assists other cashiers with computer, register, and scanner problems.
• Performs basic office functions to assist customers and personnel.
• Operates electronic scanning cash register to total customers’ final bill.
• Receive payment and count back correct change.
• Bag groceries and assist customers with carry out.
• May handle close of day office tasks.
• May count tills when others leave.
• Other duties as assigned.
