Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock and display merchandise, and support store leadership in daily operations.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling payments, restocking, cleaning, and executing planograms. You may act as the lead in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring smooth store performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle payments accurately.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Basic math skills for transactions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; manage trash, floors, restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in planogram implementation and maintenance.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform additional duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
