Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock merchandise, clean the store, and support the Store Manager in daily operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

The role includes leading by example in customer service, handling transactions, implementing planograms, and providing coverage in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant

Qualifications

• Interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations including percentages.
• Ability to operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchase, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, rotate stock, and build displays per planograms.
• Clean store, handle trash, mop floors, and prepare sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager direction.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.
