Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store and prioritize customer satisfaction. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock merchandise, and support the Store Manager in daily tasks.

You’ll lead by example, perform cashier duties, help set up displays, and ensure sales targets are met while upholding company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Stock, restock, and rotate merchandise; build displays; follow planograms.
• Clean the store, take out trash, mop floors, and set up sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
