Job summary

Dollar General Lead Sales Associate role seeking a customer-focused leader to guide store operations and assist customers. You will operate the cash register, stock and display merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness.

You may act in a lead capacity when the Store Manager is unavailable. High school diploma or equivalent and supervisory experience are preferred; ability to drive for bank deposits and to handle cash with accuracy is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to greet and assist customers effectively.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise guides.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Experience with cash register functions and handling.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and deposit procedures.
• Ability to drive own vehicle for bank deposits.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, itemize purchases, and handle payments.
• Stock, rotate, and display merchandise per planograms.
• Clean store, manage trash, and maintain restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in planogram implementation and maintenance.
• Open and close store under Store Manager directions.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.
