Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and display merchandise, and help with store operations under Store Manager guidance.

Responsibilities include leading customer service, processing transactions, stocking and rotating products, and stepping in for Store Manager in their absence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and customer service leadership.

• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise guidelines.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases; collect payment and make change; bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise; set up displays and rotate stock according to planograms.
• Clean the store; manage trash and cleanliness; assist with sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager; support in absence of management.
