Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first mindset. You will help customers locate and purchase merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and display items, and support store goals under the Store Manager's guidance.

You will lead by example, perform cashier duties, open/close shifts, and fill in for managers when needed, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandising guides.
• Ability to perform basic math, percentages and transactions.
• Ability to operate a cash register and related devices.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and deposits.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment and bag items.
• Stock merchandise, rotate displays and implement planograms.
• Clean the store, take out trash, mop floors and maintain restrooms and stockroom.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Fulfill duties of a Sales Associate and lead in the absence of management.
