Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a store associate to open and close the store in the absence of store management, handling cash, returns, and customer assistance.

You will ensure the floor and stock room are ready for business, support vendor deliveries, and maintain pricing and signage in compliance with local regulations. You will also contribute to delivering a distinctive customer experience by greeting and assisting customers, while maintaining accurate records and cooperating with management on

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including required systems start-ups and cash handling.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Holds store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
• Assists with and coaches other team members in vendor ordering, stock rotation, and price changes as required.
• Responsible for registering all related sales and maintaining accurate records of scanning errors and price modifications.
