Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a diligent team member to open and close the store when management is unavailable, handle cash transactions, and ensure shelves and stock rooms are ready for the day.

You will also assist with vendor deliveries, pricing updates, and basic bookkeeping while maintaining a high standard of customer service. The role emphasizes inventory accuracy, store upkeep, and proactive customer assistance, with opportunities to contribute to displays and promotions.

Qualifications

• One year of leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Preferred: knowledge of store inventory control.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including start-ups, cash handling, and ensuring floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change at cash registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Coaches team members on customer service best practices and Walgreens service traits.
• Retrieves and secures store keys to open/close without management as necessary.
• Assists with vendor orders and backdoor deliveries; reviews exceptions and supports reverse logistics.
• Manages pricing, signage, and compliance with local regulations; maintains stock organization and inventory accuracy.
• Performs basic bookkeeping, cash reporting, and ledger tasks as requested.
• Maintains clean store condition and supports maintenance requests when management is absent.
• Assists with pharmacy window operations as requested.
