Job summary

Lids is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Lafayette to lead store operations, drive sales, and coach a team to deliver exceptional customer service. You will partner with the Store Manager to schedule, train, and develop staff, maintain visual standards, and safeguard store assets while delivering a welcoming, high-energy shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and complaints when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through training programs and goal setting with regular follow-up.
• Administer progressive discipline with verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Engage team by creating a fun, productive environment and aligning work with company goals.
• Recruit and train store personnel on proper operations and procedures.
• Encourage compliance with company policies and protect inventory, funds, and property.
• Lead selling strategy to achieve KPIs and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Resolve customer feedback and escalations to make it right for customers.
• Adhere to visual guidelines, maintain store cleanliness and professional appearance.
• Execute operations directives and maintain a safe work environment.
• Manage cash, opening/closing tills and bank drops.
• Prepare for inventory audits and support counts.
