Lids Sports Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Lafayette, LA. You will lead daily store operations, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the look and feel of the store.

You’ll oversee staffing, training, and store policies to ensure a high-energy, inclusive environment for customers and associates alike. The role emphasizes leadership, training, and operational excellence within a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through LIDS Training Programs and goal setting.
• Administer progressive discipline with verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Engage team members by creating a fun and productive environment aligned with company objectives.
• Maintain scheduling and staffing of the store, including calling in associates for peaks when needed.
• Recruit and train store personnel on proper operations and procedures.
