Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, customer-first store. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock, and support store leadership in their absence.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions, stocking shelves, and maintaining displays. The role requires basic math, safety awareness, and reliability for store operations.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and deposit control.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build displays.
• Clean the store and restroom; manage side displays and housekeeping.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.
